Live Kutapa of a A Man

Sikhism advocates the pursuit of salvation through disciplined, personal meditation on the name and message of God.    A key distinctive feature of Sikhism is a non-anthropomorphic concept of God, to the extent that one can interpret God as the entire creation itself.

The followers of Sikhism are ordained to follow the teachings of the ten Sikh Gurus, enshrined forevermore in the holy scripture entitled the Guru Granth Sahib. While compiling the scripture, the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Jiincorporated not only the writings of the Sikh Gurus, but also included selected works of many devotees and saints from diverse socio-economic and religious backgrounds, who believed in the unity of God and denounced caste and superstition. The text was decreed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth and last human guru, as the final guru of the Khalsa Panth.

Sikhism’s traditions and teachings are distinctively associated with the history, society and culture of the Punjabregion, the traditional homeland of the Sikhs and the site of the Sikh Empire. Presently, a majority of the Sikhs live in Punjab, India, and until India’s partition in 1947, millions of Sikhs had lived in what is now Pakistani Punjab.

Besides Sikhi and Gurmat, Sikhism is also referred to as Aad-Matt (the primal counsel).

BREAKING NEWS FROM SIKIMM – Watch Waht Happen in gurudwara dang mar sahib

This is true that all the material of Gurdwara Guru Daang Maar Sahib has been shifted to Gurdwara Chung Thang Sahib because of some controversy.  Image may contain: one or more people and text Gurudongmar Lake (also known as Gurudogmar Lake) is one of the highest lakes in the world located at an altitude of 17,100 feet (5,148 m). It lies on the North side of the Khangchengyao Range in a high plateau area contiguous to the Tibetan Plateau. The stream emerging from the lake is one of the source-streams of the Tista River.

The lake is named after Guru Nanak, who is also known as Guru Dongmar. It is located close to the Indo-China Border in the province of North Sikkim, Sikkim, India.

The lake remains completely frozen in the winter months from November to Mid-May except for one small part of the lake which is supposed to be touched and blessed by the Guru Nanak.

The lake is highly revered by the Sikkimese and Buddhists and the waters are supposed to have curative properties. The Indian Army got into a conflict with the Sikkim Government when they erected a gurdwara (a Sikh temple) near the lake in the 1990s : the gurdwara has now become a ‘Sarva Dharma Sthal'(House of worship for All Religions), and ruffled feathers have been smoothened.

Due to the extremely inhospitable terrain and the difficulties associated with reaching the place, the lake sees only a handful of visitors each year. Access is strictly controlled at the Army checkpost at Giagong. Due to the altitude, there is a scarcity of oxygen. Visitors are advised to acclimatise overnight at Lachen, carry medicines like Coca 10, Deryphyllin etc., and to descend quickly in case of acute or persistent discomfort. Over-excitement and loud, stressful talking should be avoided.

Gurudongmar Lake at 5200M above sea level is one of the highest lakes in the world. The drive to this lake is one of the most picturesque in all of Sikkim. Along the drive the landscape is a beautiful, lush green until you reach Thangu where, as you climb higher, the tree line disappears and the lush green panoramas turn into a barren and foreboding landscape. Frozen for most of the year the lake is fabled as the site where both Guru Nanak and Guru Rinpoche are said to have paused while traveling through the region. These two men of God, Guru Nanak and Guru Rinpoche, are said to have helped the locals with sourcing water from the lake.

In the lake, which is seemingly frozen solid, there is one spot that never freezes, the place where Guru Nanak bathed. That spot is considered ‘amrit’. Beyond the lake we find the armed forces stationed in bunkers, some of which are located as high as 22,000 ft.—higher than even the Siachen glacier.

Truly amazing is the site of small tanks stationed at this height in the mountains of Sikkim. The area being a plateau, is probably the only place where tanks can be used effectively at such a high altitude

History of Nose Jewel Nath and Sehrabandi

A nose-jewel is a piece of jewelry that is worn on the nose. Most commonly associated since ancient times with women from the Indian subcontinent,   these ornaments, are attached through a piercing on the side of the nostril. Because of globalization and the spread of Indian fashion and culture, nostril piercing has in recent decades become popular in the wider world and small gems or studs carried on a piercing, or simple rings have also become fashionable for (mostly) young non-Indian women in other parts of the world including the Americas, Japan, Europe in recent years.

Many Punjabi wedding traditions and rituals are carried out on the morning of the wedding. After the traditional bathing, the groom dresses in the selected attire of the day. Often, grooms choose to wear Indian sherwani (formal, long coat like garment usually embroidered). All Sikh grooms traditionally wear a turban, carry a sword and are given a palla (long scarf usually in a shade of red) to wear around their neck. The palla will be used in the wedding ceremony later in the day.

Some families choose to include a sarbala (from Sanskrit roots meaning groom associate) as part of their wedding party. A sarbala, a young nephew or cousin of the groom, is his caretaker or protector for the day and accompanies him throughout the wedding. The sarbala is dressed similarly to the groom.

The surma (kohl) and sehra bandi (tying a traditional headdress) rituals take place after the groom is dressed and ready to go.

Following Punjabi wedding traditions, the groom departs his home on a decorated mare with his family and friends (the barat or janaat) singing and dancing while on route to the bride’s home for the wedding. The sarbala shares a spot on the horse with him. Today, the barat leaves the groom’s home in decorated vehicles. Once at the destination, they enjoy singing and dancing until the milni –  the next ceremony of the day.

A sikh Exposed Radha soami dera

Radha Soami is a philosophical organization based on the spiritual teachings of all religions.   Radhaswamis are not Sikhs !! Practices of the Sikh religion not followed by the Radhaswamis:

  1. Difference in Naam simran,
  2. Difference in Naam Jap, Waheguru Gurmantra of Sikhs is not accepted by sect.
  3. Karah parsaad is not prepared by sect thus not distributed in disciples/sangat.
  4. No Kirpan Bhenta – Kirpaan or Sword is not offered to Karaah-parsaad as it is not prepared as in the Sikh religion, where Karaah parsaad is distributed only after offering the holy Kirpaan.
  5. Jo bole so nihaal-Sat siri akal, The Sikh battle cry is not in use by the sect, they disallow it.
  6. Sikhs greet each other with, “ Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!” Radhaswami greet each other by saying, “Radhaswamiji.”
  7. The ‘Kesri Nissan Sahib’ is not used to mark the places of worship of the Radhaswami sect, while it is required at all Sikh Gurudwaras.
  8. Sikh Insignia (Khanda) :
Khanda is the emblem of the Sikh nation. It consists of two Kirpaans (the Sikh swords), one Khanda (double-edged sword) and one Chakkar (circle). The Sikhs have adopted it as an emblem of their royalty and nationality. The two swords represent spiritual and temporal sovereignty of the Sikh nation, the Chakkar symbolizes the wholeness of the universe as well as creation and the double-edged sword symbolizes initiation. Thus sovereignty, infinity and initiation are the three basic points of the Sikh national emblem. The Radhaswamis do not have any insignia of their own.
  9. No free distribution of Langar is served in community kitchens for the poor, needy and devotees to stress equality of the disciples as practiced in Sikh Gurdwaras. (A tradition started by Guru Nanak. Guru ji says “Jo kichu hai so tera.”
  10. Recite of their own Baani (Kacchi Baani)in sect along with the pious Baani of Guru Granth Sahab ji, which is a disrespect to Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
  11. Amrit is not prepared and not used to baptize their disciples or followers by sect.
  12. The main tradition of Panj Pyare is not followed in sect.
  13. Use of Liquor and meat is prohibited but not the use of tobacco in followers by sect.
  1. They believe in a living Guru and bow before him, whereas in Sikhism there is no living human as Guru.
  2. How could Dasam Dwar be at third level as it is not a region but is a doorway to Sachkhand, as preached in the sect.

These are some of the differences between the practises of the Sikhs and the Radhaswamis. so how could they call themselves Sikhs. Do they think that dressing like Sikhs and using the Guru Granth Sahib is enough to be refering to themselves as Sikhs?

Guru Gobind Singh ji says:

“Rahat piaari mohe Sikh piaara naahe!’
The devotees who recite the name of Akal Purakh, Live in disipline and follow the Sikh Rahat Maryada; Namm simran, Reading Gurbaani only, and strictly follow the restriction issued at the time of Baptization (Amrit chakna) in Sikhi (Khalsa).

He is clear to his devotees that, “Jab eh gahe bipran ki reet Main na karon inki parteet !! ” Means when the devotees shall go the other way, he will not be with them otherewise Guru is always with his Sikh.

  1. Radhaswami Never preaches Khalsa Tradition and Do not believe in philosphy of Khalsa.
  2. Radhaswami Give a secret name to people which they have to recite and that name should not tell to anyone which is opposite to Sikh philosphy. Think If Guru Nanak do So? As we all know that the organization has gurus which give naam to the people and people beg before them for naam. These gurus have more significance to such dera followers who call them sikhs and following the human guru.
  3. The Radha Soami dogma is one such prominently known way of life. The Sikh Gurus have conferred the gift of Gur Mantar and Mool Mantar to their Sikhs and have clearly ruled the following command:
Chant the Naam yourself, and inspire others to chant it.

But yet many so-called ‘Sikhs’ can be seen begging for the ‘Gupt-Mantar’ at the door of Human ‘Gurus’.

  1. Radhaswamis copies the content of different religions to attract people of different religions.
  2. Radhaswamis have their own meanings for Gurbani. they are great gurbani players.
  3. Radhaswamis have huge followers due to this governement also lick their feet just for votes.
  4. I met many radhaswami followers and maximum followers do not know who their guru is?

Nobel Prize Winner Says : “Only Sikhism Can Prevent World War 3”

Did you know Bertrand Russel was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1950 and said this on Guru Granth Sahib Ji & Sikhism.

f some lucky men survive the onslaught of the third world war of atomic and hydrogen bombs, the SIKH religion will be the ONLY means of guiding them.

It has the capability, but Sikhs have not brought-out, in broad day light, the splendid doctrines of their religion, which has come into existence for the benefit of entire mankind.”
Russell was asked that he was talking about the third world war, but isn’t this religion capable of guiding mankind before the third world war? capability, but the Sikhs have not brought out in the broad daylight, the splendid doctrines of this religion which has come into existence for the benefit of the entire mankind. This is their greatest sin and the Sikhs cannot be freed of it.”
What Bertrand was most impressed with was that Sikhism does not have a doctrine of evangelism, that it does not go out to try to subvert and convert. In some ways he thought that Sikhs should go out and propagate their great faith.
